Just Saying

Saying
that's a pretty dress,
or that's a nice color,
or your hair came out good
is not really a compliment.
It's complimentary—but to the dress and the stylist.
It doesn't come close to “You look beautiful,”
or better still, “You are beautiful.”
A single word like Wow, said with honest awe,
can make a world of difference.
Words matter.
Choose wisely.
