In The Red Gloaming

Red skies glow
in the twilight's gloaming;
a sailor's delight, they say.
Through my window
I am trapped in the fire,
beauty that leaves me transfixed.
I cannot look away.
Silent, breathless seconds tick past,
until I gasp and the spell is broken.
I am no sailor,
but I feel their delight.

    1. Thanks, Cornelia. I’ve taken photos of many beautiful sunsets in FL when I’ve been visiting, though this isn’t one of mine.

    1. Thanks, Rosemary. I can only take credit for the words and _finding_ the photo, but I’m glad you enjoyed them both.
