Prometheus’ Gift

Prometheus gave us a great gift,
fire to spur mankind forward.
We say we need to light a fire under someone
to get them motivated,
or that they are on fire
when they speed forward.
I only know it's warm and cozy
just sitting here with you,
watching the flames dance.
I hope the fire never goes out.
