More or Less I want more more books and time to read them more time to spend with people I love more laughter, music, and dance more people to follow the Golden Rule I want less less calories and the pounds that follow them less stress for an overworked mind less trouble falling on those who don't deserve it less worry about a virus with a thousand lives More kindness, less meanness More generosity, less greed More good health, less illness More peace, less war More love, less hate More or Less I want it all
[Note to the pedantic—I know “fewer” would be more correct in places, but I used my poetic license. Forgive me.]
It’s been a crazy year filled with ups and downs. I published a new book, which was definitely an up and finally had a chance to visit my sister again in September after more than two years, which was definitely another one. My weight went up, but that’s a down. Without making any resolutions, I’m hoping to make that less in the coming year.
This last poem written in 2021 is my wish for you all. May 2022 find us all blessed with more of the good things and less of the bad, and when the bad stuff creeps up on us, may we look for the sparks of light to pull us through.
A Happy and Healthy New Year to Everyone!
