For hundreds of years the ballet has brought beauty and grace to a world sorely lacking. There's a catch of breath as we watch a ballerina fly, almost as though possessed by the swan she emulates; tears are shed at the poised and lithesome flutters in the moment of dying. We are nourished by the art of movement and the stories it tells. Other artists have tried to capture this blessing on canvas, in photos, or on film, but nothing compares to living in the moment, captured by the music and motion.
