How We See It
We see the glass
and argue whether
it's half full or
half empty.
We watch clouds
floating in blue skies;
I see a face in one,
you see a dragon.
Neither of us is wrong.
The world is filled
with ambiguities
we view from
our own point of view,
formed from our genes,
our moods, and experience.
The differences
flow side by side,
seamless blending,
to make the world a better,
more beautiful place.

So true! Too bad we live in an age of so many people believing the way they see things is the only possible correct way, and getting downright crabby when someone disagrees with them.
Linda,
I agree. There’s always been that attitude some extent, especially with politics and religion, but I do find it disheartening that it’s crept into so many other facets of life, especially in the young who will argue with you about something that *they* don’t have a clue about and when you finally give up and tell them to Google it, they have to admit you were right all along. I think that’s one of the things that frightens me about AI, which as we know makes quite a few mistakes as it “learns” from humans.
Yes, and the world is rapidly changing. We’d better keep up.
Cornelia,
I think we have to keep up, but I also think we don’t have to give in to whatever the “new” experts say is right. I mean, just look for example at food–one minute eggs are good for you, the next minute you have to stay away from them because of cholesterol, then eggs are back in good graces again. I can hear my mother now saying I told you so! LOL
Good verse and a muched needed expression of truth
Thanks so much, Michael.
