The Never Ending Waterfall
Your dreams were small,
except for those you loved.
You wanted little.
Your needs were few.
You had nothing of value
save for what was in your heart,
and that bounty overflowed—
a never ending waterfall
that soaked through anyone
lucky enough to be nearby.
We could use more waterfalls.
The world is becoming a wasteland
where we search for puddles
of truth,
of love,
of kindness,
to nourish us through the drought.
I am a sponge
squeezing the last drops of moisture
onto parched lips.
Just when all hope seems lost,
your never ending waterfall
washes over me
and I am renewed.

💜 Love this.
Thank you, Becca. As always, the first week in March is an emotional one for me. Today is 25 years since my mother passed, and Friday, will be 17 years since my dad left us. They were not perfect, but they were the best, and I miss them everyday.
So beautiful.
Thank you so much, Linda.
Beautiful and deeply inspiring. I love the metaphor that cascades through the form
Thank you so much, Michael.
Evocative and true.
Sadly spot on: ‘The world is becoming a wasteland
where we search for puddles’
Thank you, Alan. I wish it were not so true, but it’s what we all have to deal with, I suppose.
