On the Advice of Friends
If you’ve been following along this month, you may remember that I mentioned asking some of my poet friends who their favorite poet was. Two of them mentioned Mary Oliver, and I must admit while I’d heard the name, I wasn’t familiar with her poetry, so I did what anyone living in the 21st century would do, headed down the YouTube wormhole. While there, I discovered these gems, so a big thank you to Judy Beaston and Iris Black for pointing the way!
I hope the rest of you enjoy them as much as I did.
Happy Poetry Month!

These were beautiful.
Sandy,
I thought so too. It was nice to discover a poet so easily read and understood. So often we get caught up in what is familiar to us, but finding someone new is special.
Loved these poems. Beautifully read.
Thanks, Rosemary! I’m glad you enjoyed them!
