October is a very special month for me. Not only is it the beautiful centerpiece of fall, but it seems to be a lucky month for my family, with many happy birthdays and the anniversaries of long marriages sprinkled throughout.

Today would’ve been my parents’s 75th anniversary, if they were still with us. The poem below was written when I was remembering one of my own wonderful anniversary memories, and my father’s passing. I don’t think of it as sad to mingle joyful memories with a sad one. It reminds me that when my dad left us, he was once again in the arms of the woman who was the love of his life.

So I give you, That Moment, from A DANCE OF DREAMS, as I wish my parents a very Happy Anniversary in heaven.
