  Easter Today
 
 
 I have dusted
 and vacuumed,
 and cleared up the clutter.
 Eggs were cooked and colored,
 and the leg of lamb waits
 to play its part in the festivities.
 Soon we will gather
 in our little group,
 so much smaller  
 than in years gone by,
 to celebrate  
 the heart of Easter,
 which is Love.
 Till then I will  
 sit and wait,
 and be lifted up
 as I watch
 The Greatest Story Ever Told.
 The world changes;
 growth is life,
 but somethings  
 remain the same.
