I want to know all of you, both inside and out. I want to know what things will make joy overflow and what things fill your soul with doubt. There are times I just want to shout, “I want to know!” You are silent when I ask, your eyes turn away. You are silent. To persist starts an argument that could last all night and all day, where nothing changes anyway. You are silent. Yet here we are, my dear. Love holds us together. Yet here we are. Together we have traveled far, come through rough roads and foul weather; love's, indeed, the strongest tether, and here we are.
