April is Poetry Month, which means it’s time to celebrate poetry with the Poem A Day challenge. Thirty poems in thirty days. That can be tough going sometimes, especially with the world in the current situation we’re in, but I’m going to try. I may be a little late sometimes and need to play catch-up, but I’m hoping to get to the finish line. I probably won’t post all of them, and there may be some duds in the group, but I’m going to try to anyway–if for no other reason than to keep things as normal as possible during these tough times.
On that note, I’m going to share today’s offering as a bit of positivity sent into the world that better things are ahead. It’s a short poetry form called a rondelet, but it’s a rhyming form and that’s always a challenge for me. So here goes:
It's a New World It's a new world that's coming up around the bend. It's a new world where rough edges will be burled by moments of the time we spend together, happy in the end. It's a new world.
